Cup-a-Cake Logo

Here it is...my cupcake store logo...introducing it to you on this special day, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. I have a good feeling this new business venture of mine will be blessed. The designer, by the way, is my husband, Jhe. He did the logo on MS Paint, and according to him, our initials are in the drawing, D, K, & J. You have to look very hard to see. :)

Fondant Shmondant

I made my own fondant and made some figures from it. My angry bird had a white beak because there was no handy yellow icing color (sorry). I was happy with what I came up with even though my hands were sore from kneading.

'Caesar' - My Banana Flavored Cupcakes

Found a great recipe for banana cupcakes - I am so lucky the first recipe I decided to try was the right one! Talk about gut feel! I frosted these yummy cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and topped with banana slices.

Let's Talk Business!

Today, I decided to finally make a business out of making cakes and cupcakes. From the reception that my cakes and cupcakes received from 'tasters', I think they are deserving to be marketed and sold already. I was thinking of a different name, 'Sugar Mama' became a favorite, but decided against it, since the term signifies something that's not so nice. LOL. So, I decided to push through with Cup-a-Cake. Soon, hopefully, my husband will come up with the design for our logo. Look out for this delish flavors I will soon introduce -

Rhum Cupcakes
Lemon Meringue Cupcakes
Chocolate Chip Cupcakes
Choco-Banana Cupcakes
Cookies & Cream Cupcakes
Raspberry/Strawberry Cupcakes
Carrot Cupcakes
Cookie Dough Cupcakes
Blueberry Cheesecake Cupcakes
Dark Chocolate Cupcakes

I will keep my fingers cross that I will come up with the best recipes for these flavors! Goodluck to me! :)
